DBWFF AWARDS 2025

The Dayton Black Women's Film Festival will wrap up with an Awards Night & Special Presentations. Two awards will be given this year - The Bloom Award and the Gardenia Award. Those awards will each be followed by screenings of short films - BODIES IN FLUX by Kaliah Ware and the 20th Anniversary Screening of Sundance selected film SAVING JACKIE by Selena Burks-Rentschler. After the awards, we will present a special tribute to the iconic LOVE & BASKETBALL in collaboration with Multidisciplinary Arts Collective Scripted in Black, as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of this groundbreaking film with a heartfelt celebration of its impact on both the film industry and culture.
