DBWFF SHORTS 2025

After a special workshop at The Dayton Metro Library on Friday, May 16, The Dayton Black Women's Film Festival returns to THE NEON on Saturday, May 17. At 10:00AM, connect with fellow filmmakers, industry professionals, and festival attendees over a delicious brunch on THE NEON's Patio. This is the perfect opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and create lasting connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment. At Noon, we'll start a curated selection of powerful short films from around the globe, all produced, directed, and written by Black women. The first selections will shine a light on the incredible work of Black women currently enrolled in the Motion Picture Production program at Wright State University, showcasing the next generation of filmmakers. We will then screen the Dayton Premiere of BROWNIES - the award-winning film directed by Aisha Ford followed by a virtual Q+A with Aisha. And lastly, we will honor the legacy of Dr. Marva Mitchell with the presentation of the Garden of Dreams Scholarship. Tickets - $15 each - Available Now!PT2HNR2025-05-17DBWFF SHORTS 2025"DBWFF SHORTS 2025"
